FAQs

SHOULD THIS PRODUCT BE FED WITH YEAST?

We are advising users to feed MonoShield Equine with a no yeast feed. This is an important point as yeast creates an anaerobic environment. The absence of free oxygen dramatically reduces the effectiveness of MonoShield Equine.

However, if you want to continue feeding a feed containing yeast then there are ways around it.

For example; if you feed a balancer containing yeast then you can feed the balancer in the morning and MonoShield in the evening with a yeast free feed.

You can also orally dose MonoShield on an empty stomach at least one hour before feeding a feed containing yeast.

CAN MONOSHIELD LIQUID BE TOP DRESSED ONTO FEED OR DOES IT NEED TO BE SYRINGED INTO THE HORSES MOUTH?

Either is fine. If top dressing onto feed then ensure there is no yeast in the feed. If oral dosing then do so on an empty stomach at least 1 hour before hard feed (especially if the feed has yeast in it).

HOW LONG SHOULD I FEED MONOSHIELD BEFORE EXPECTING TO SEE RESULTS?

Many people see improvements within 4-6 weeks. However, we recommend feeding MonoShield for at minimum of 12 weeks (one day break required after 8 weeks) before drawing any conclusions.
