MonoShield Equine is a novel equine feed supplement developed by Mayo Healthcare in cooperation with the Microbiology Department of the National University of Ireland (NUIG).

Usage Information
Use daily for periods of up to 8 weeks. Legislation advises users to finish an 8-week course of supplementation and take at least one day break before deciding to continue feeding for a further 8-week cycle.
3 tablets to be given per kg of complete feed up to a maximum of 45 tablets for horses consuming 15Kg or more of complete feed per day. As a guide, the average horse will eat around 2.5% of its bodyweight daily, so a 600kg horse will require 45 tablets per day.
Each tablet contains 20mg Vitamin C, 6.67mg Zinc, and 1.1mg Iodine.

Instructions for Proper Use
Before feeding this product, you are advised to seek advice from your Veterinarian or Nutritionist to ensure that background levels of trace elements in feed do not exceed maximum permitted levels per Kg of complete feed. Minimum supply of Zinc with 20 mg/kg complete feed and high Iodine content. It is also advised that other supplementation of Iodine is not used while using this product.
Feeding Instructions
Yeast-free diets: Product can be fed at regular feeding times with a feed that is yeast-free. Simply top dress feed with one measure of approx. 30g (scoop included with tub) per horse per day.
Yeast based diets: Product should be fed a minimum of one hour before or after regular feeding times. Top dress any yeast-free feed with one measure of approx. 30g (scoop included with tub) per horse per day.
This product is intended to supplement the diet of horses and is not to be used as a replacement of regular feed.

MonoShield Equine does not contain any ingredients which contravene The Jockey Club, FEI, BSJA or IHRB rules.
